Clayton Adams - Another victim of Idaho's corrupt and inept legal system

On March 11, 2006 at 1:30 in the morning, Clayton Adams was outnumbered 3 to 1. They attacked him and beat him severely, hitting him and kicking him; one of them beating him with a rock. At that point, Clayton's life flashed before his eyes, and he believed that he was going to die. He did the only thing he could do, and fought for his life. After struggling to be free, he finally got loose and fled.

That same night, Clayton was arrested at his home and charged with capital murder, not even knowing someone had died during that fight. Because of poor police work, a public defender that did not, or would not, use all the evidence available, Clayton was unable to mount a proper defense or obtain any resemblance of a fair trial. The defense attorney did not even show up for the verdict which took 14 hours, and Clayton was found guilty of 2nd degree murder and aggravated battery. Clayton was given a life sentence plus ten years.

Clayton fought for his life that night, as anyone would, and is now spending his life in prison because of it.

(Clayton Adams is currently incarcerated in the Idaho Correctional Center)

  2. For all that are watching several of these cases. On 8/22/2011 2 expert witnessess and the attorney that handled Claytons case will be giving their depositions. These expert witnesseses were never called to testify at the original trial and the attorney knew about them. I'm hoping the attorneys deposition will show why he handled the case the way he did. The ethics of being an attorney in Idaho is, you are to represent your client to the best of your ability. This attorney provided no defense for his client and now sits as a judge in rhe courthouse. How is this? We should all be concerned! Clayton, through 1500 pages of post-conviction relief, which he an another inmate at the prison put together is getting another look at his case on 10/24/2011 he has an evidentiary hearing at the Canyon County Courthouse. His newly appointed attorney is a retired judge in our district. Gordon W. Petrie is his new attorney to handle his post-conviction and hopefully and a lot of prayer he will do the honorable thing, with integrity show all the errors and wrongdoing that was displayed in the original trial. Please mark your calenders and show up if you can to support Clayton and his family.

  3. News Flash ...at 9 am Friday morning the 27th of may 2011 on the 5th floor of ADA county courthouse, Shelley Armstrong ADA county prosecutor was served a federal subpena for depositions in the Wicklund v James page and IDOC case, regarding her destruction of court filings an a case that was closed ,under color of law. She has no immunity. also Wicklund has settled with Terry Riley for an undisclosed amount of money and as part of the deal sane salutations has to testify against IDOC for Wicklund . in my opinion the people of Idaho are going to find out soon that it is standered practice to lie to Grand jury's, pay witnesses with victims money and destroy files and evidence to get convictions at any cost. the Constitution means nothing to these parasites. under the guise of protection.“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety,” wrote Benjamin Franklin.

  4. Wow! I'd love to hear the result of Armstrong. Greed and Narcistic individuals. And for some reason IDOC keeps making headlines but for some reason have the 'standard practice to lie' and gets away with it. The parasites continue to incarserate many 'good people' who will never be the same when and if released. I sure wish the Fed's could go after the Judges for lack of Ethic's and not upholding their end as well.
